Every year the american consulate offers an exchange program to Brazilian students who achieve a good performance in the selection exam. In 2019 Isabelle Marques who was student of ciep 117 intercultural Brasil- Estados Unidos, was selected and she is the new youth ambassador.
The program consists in an experience to low-income students to know USA and its culture. They are received by a host family and have the opportunity to visit some sightseeings like the White House and some local Universities, and participate of Martin Luther King parede, considering the trip is realized on January (in this whole month people do a lot of paredes like a memorial to Martin Luther King and his struggle for the Civil Rights.). In the end of exchange program students have to know how to apply the knowledge they got there, in real life situations.
