Who was Marielle Franco

🇺🇲 | Marielle Francisco da Silva was a woman who grew up in the Complexo da Maré, in Rio de Janeiro. For those who don't know, Complexo da Maré is one of the biggest Rio de Janeiro favela clusters. 
🇧🇷 | Marielle Francisco da Silva foi uma mulher que cresceu no Complexo da Maré no Rio de Janeiro. Para aqueles que não sabem, Complexo da Maré é um dois maiores aglomerados de favela do Rio de Janeiro.
🇺🇲 | It was in this place that she developed her political abilities.
For her and her family, education always will be the way to a good future. 

🇧🇷 | Foi nesse lugar que ela desenvolveu suas habilidades políticas. 
  Para ela e sua família, a educação sempre será o caminho para um bom futuro.
🇺🇲 | After high school, it was her dream to study in a college, but this willingness was momentarily stopped because of a daughter who would come in when Marielle was 19.   

🇧🇷 | Depois do ensino médio era o sonho dela estudar na faculdade, mas esse desejo foi momentaneamente parado por conta de sua filha que veio ao mundo quando Marielle tinha 19 anos. 
🇺🇲 | In 2002 she could get into PUC, studying social sciences for free., with a 100% discount.

🇧🇷 | Em 2002, ela pode ingressar na PUC, estudando Ciências sociais com 100% de bolsa.

Political career

🇺🇲 | Marielle was, from 2006 to 2016, a representative of Complexo da Mare of the congressperson Marcelo Freixo, and this fact created her autonomy to be got in as a councilor in 2016.

🇧🇷 | Marielle foi, de 2006 a 2016, a representante do Complexo da Maré do deputado Marcelo freixo, e esse fato criou sua autonomia para se tornar vereador em 2016.
🇺🇲 | As a councilor, she was a fighter for, mainly, black women's rights. But she was also involved in actions against the militia, called militia CPI, since When Marielle was Freixos secretary, and it was this fact that caused her death, together with Anderson Gomes. 

🇧🇷 | Como vereadora, Marielle lutou por, principalmente, direitos de mulheres negras. Mas ela também se envolveu em ações contra a milícia, a chamada CPI da milícia, desde desde que foi secretária de freixo, e esse fato que causou sua morte junto a Anderson Gomes.

🇺🇲 | It was a busy day for the councillor, because of her political work. At night, she participated in an event in a place called Casa das Pretas, where she was mediating the theme of "black young women moving society structures". In this event, Anderson Gomes was just the driver. 
🇧🇷 | Esse foi um dia agitado para a vereador por conta do seu trabalho político. A noite, Marielle participou de um evento e um local chamado Casa das Pretas, em que foi a mediadora do tema “jovens negras movendo as estruturas da sociedade. Nesse evento, Anderson Gomes era apenas motorista. 
🇺🇲 | They got out of the place with Marielle's cabinet chief, Fernanda Chaves. They were peacefully going to their houses, but they didn't know that was being followed by a silver coubalt. 

🇧🇷 | Eles saíram do local com a chefe de gabinete Mariele, Fernanda Chaves. Eles estavam tranquilamente ao caminho de suas casas, mais não sabiam que estavam sendo seguidos por um Cobalt prata.
🇺🇲 | A few kilometers after they got out from Casa das Pretas, the people from the cobalt started shooting the vehicle that was driving Marielle, Anderson Gomes and Fernanda to their houses. Only Fernanda could get out of the car alive.
🇧🇷 | Poucos quilômetros após a saída da casa das pretas, as pessoas do cobalt começaram a atirar contra o veículo que estava levando Marielle Anderson Gomes de Fernanda para suas casas. Apenas Fernanda pôde sair viva do carro.

Who did kill Marielle and Anderson Gomes?

🇺🇲 | This question wasn’t clearly answered for 6 years. Just in March 2024, the facts were totally informed. The brothers Domingos Brazão and Chiquinho Brazão were arrested this Sunday (24) on suspicion of ordering the councilor's death. If they hadn't been involved with the militia, they wouldn't have been afraid enough of being discovered to order the death of the councilor, which also destroyed the driver's life. 

🇧🇷 | Essa pergunta não foi esclarecidamente respondido por 6 anos. Foi só em março de 2024 que os fatos foram totalmente clarificados. Os irmãos Domingos brasão e Chiquinho brasão foram presos esse domingo (24) suspeitos de encomendarem a morte da deputada. Se não estivessem envolvidos com a milícia, não teriam medo suficiente de serem descobertos a ponto de encomendarem a morte da vereadora, que destruiu também a vida do motorista.
🇺🇲 | Police chief Rivaldo Barbosa was also arrested. According to the Federal Police, he helped plan the crime and hindered the investigations because he had promised impunity to those who ordered it.  

🇧🇷 | O delegado Rivaldo Barbosa foi preso também. De acordo com a polícia federal ele ajudou a planejar o crime e dificultou as investigações porque prometeu impunidade aqueles que a encomendaram.
🇺🇲 | According to investigations, the crime was carried out by former police officers Ronnie Lessa and Élcio de Queiroz. The duo was arrested on March 12th, 2019. 

🇧🇷 | De acordo com as investigações o crime foi cometido pelos oficiais de polícia Rony Lessa e Élcio de Queiroz. A dupla foi presa em 12 de março de 2019.
